95. Historic Warehouse District Tours



Locals and visitors can enjoy four unique, guided walking tours with actors and actresses portraying historic Cleveland figures. Historic figures you may encounter on your hike include Frances Payne Bolton, Mayor Tom Johnson, Daniel Burnham, Mrs. Alfred Kelley, Garrett Morgan, Alan Freed and John D. Rockefeller

On Saturdays, Historic Warehouse District tours begin at 10 a.m. at Constantino’s Market (1278 W. Ninth St.). On Sundays, Canal Basin Park tours begin at 10 at the Settler’s Landing RTA Station (1025 W. Superior Ave., bottom of the hill).

94. Summer Beach Party

Saturday, August 7, 2010  -  5 – 11 p.m


No need to fly the flying saucer over to Cleveland Metroparks “Summer Beach Party” – just come to the beach for all the fun and excitement.
Cleveland Metroparks invites all “beach bums” from 5 to 8 p.m. to enjoy a variety of beach games and activities including: a UFO sighting scavenger hunt, shake-n-bake contest, flying saucer water balloon toss, Reese’s Pieces relay race, hula hoop contest, beach blanket bingo, limbo, “Ranger” says, cornhole, beach volleyball, and more. 
Day-of registration is required to participate in all games, and space is limited.  Prizes will be awarded.
Activities from 5 to 8 p.m. also include:
  • national award-winning sand sculptor Carl Jara designing a special sand sculpture especially for the “Summer Beach Party” event
  • sand castle-building area for visitors to try their hand
  • Island Jeff’s Steel Drum Show, a fishing demonstration area with Cleveland Metroparks staff
  • kayak demonstration area with 41ยบ North Coastal Kayak Adventures
  • live animals from Lake Erie Nature & Science Center
  • dive team exhibit with Cleveland Metroparks Rangers
  • and more! 
As darkness approaches, warm up at the campfire and enjoy the ever-entertaining Musical Mark at 8 p.m.
And then, be sure to bring beach blankets and beach chairs for the movie on the beach – “E.T.” at 8:45 p.m.

93. Safety Expo & Ice Cream Social

July 31, 2010  - 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Discover the importance of safety awareness at Cleveland Metroparks’ newest event. Along with learning how to better prepare for emergencies, enjoy a free ice cream treat!!  Plus, an infant, toddler and children car seat check station to ensure their safety and firetrucks!

I went here when I was little and my kids love it now!  Great for a relaxing afternoon picnic.  You can feed the ducks and run through the fields!

*2011 Update, due to financial constraints admission is no longer free, there is a $5 per car admission fee, so carpool ;)

91. Medieval Faire

Open 11am-7pm weekends July 10th through to August 15th, 2010.

90. Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival





July 23-25 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea.
