132. Winterfest - The Lighting of the Tree in Public Square



On November 27th the annual lighting of the Christmas tree is going to take place so bring your kiddos down to Public Square to partake in the festivities.  It’s a free event with music and hot chocolate.  It starts at 6 PM so don’t be late because it can get packed.

130. Lake Erie Monsters

Don't forget about our local AHL team, the Lake Erie Monsters! Ten dollars or so gets you a seat, and every Friday is dollar hot dog night! They make it a blast for the kids with all of the different giveaways that they do, and it seems that no Cleveland sports team does more in the community.

129. Snow Days @ Progressive Field

Progressive Field will open its gates to the public for the first time during the offseason beginning "Snopening Day" Friday, November 26 from Noon-10PM for a unique event, featuring ice skating and snow tubing, that is sure to become a popular destination in Northeast Ohio this winter.     


INDIANS SNOW DAYS EVENTS
Batterhorn (Snow Tubing), presented by RTA- 10 lane snow tubing hill on top of Time Warner Cable Bleachers (eight adult lanes 60'6" high off the ground and two children's lanes starting at the top of the 19' outfield wall)
Frozen Mile (Ice Skating)- 1/4 mile ice skating track around the outfield and small kids ice skating rink in left field corner
Slider's Snow Mountain- Kids play area in short left field
Winter Haven- Walking trail through the outfield featuring winter lights
Home Run Porch- Area to congregate and watch the festivities, complete with fire pit and concessions


PRICING
General Admission:  $5 (Provides access to Slider's Snow Mountain, Winter Haven, Food/Beverage and all other Indians Snow Days activities with the exception of snow tubing and ice skating)
Frozen Mile (Ice Skating): $10 (Unlimited ice skating, including skate rental and General Admission access)
Batterhorn (Snow Tubing), presented by RTA: $20 (Two hour Batterhorn session and General Admission access)
Batterhorn/Frozen Mile Combo: $25 (Two hour Batterhorn session, unlimited Frozen Mile access including skate rental and General Admission access)
Family Pack: $100 (Two Adults and Two Children can enjoy a two hour Batterhorn session, unlimited Frozen Mile access including skate rental, General Admission and Food/Beverage credit)
***Please note- Children under three years old are free but not permitted on the Batterhorn.

128. The Polar Express

2010 The Polar Express

Polar Express will be offered November 17 – December 19, 2010
7 – 9 p.m.

Departures will be available from CVSR's Rockside Station in Independence, Akron Northside Station, and the Canton Lincoln Highway Station (though dates from Canton are limited)

Tickets are $35 per person, ages 1 and up. If your child is under 1, and can be held on your lap, you do not need to purchase a ticket for them.

Departure Times
Boarding starts at 6:00 p.m. All trains leave promptly at 7:00 p.m. and the ride is about a 2-hour roundtrip. Trains will return around 9:00 p.m.

Dress
Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas – many adults choose to wear theirs, too!
