34. Huntington Beach

This is my all time favorite area beach, and with the weather looking BEAUTIFUL for tomorrow, why not make Friday night dinner into a picnic, followed by some yum ice cream!  Located in Bay Village, just west of Cleveland, this is one of the Cleveland Metropark's oldest reservations. The popular beach sits below a bluff with a great expanse of lawn, picnic facilities, and Honey Hut Ice Cream! Fishing is available from the Lake Erie breakwall. The park is open daily from 11am to 9pm.

Just in time for swimming season, one of the only beaches in the area to have this technology, Nowcast and Water Quality Advisories!

It's a beautiful sunny day! Why not take the kids and wander around in Chagrin Falls?  Spend some time at the library with the kids, can't find what you want there?  Head over to Fireside Books, three floors of books for your relaxing pleasure.  When you've got all your reading in hand head over to the Popcorn Shop Factory for delicious treats!  The classic sweets shop has been a part of the downtown scene for almost 10 years!  Grab a coffee and some fudge for mom, a bag of caramel-popcorn for dad, and some ice cream for the kiddos and wander out the back door to enjoy the falls.  You can also walk to Riverside Park with your ice cream!  It's a low-cost, high-fun relaxing way to spending an afternoon or evening!

31. Swensons Drive In

So it's rainy and cold and you're tired.  Don't want to make dinner?  Head down to Swensons, the most delicious drive-in in the area!  Super yummy burgers, old-fashioned shakes, and onion rings make for a yummy (calorie free I promise!!) dinner.  The kids will enjoy eating their dinner in the car and watching the employees sprint back and forth.  They have great salads, and the best egg salad sandwich I've ever had!  You really can't go wrong here and it's a nice break from McDonald's!
