103. Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is first and foremost a family event. We have worked hard to ensure that families can come out and enjoy the festivities without putting a pinch on their pocketbooks. For this reason, children under 12 are admitted free. We have also added to the menu food that kids love to eat, like pizza, hot dogs, corn dogs and lemonade. In addition, we've come up with a host of educational and fun activities just for kids.

Friday, Sept. 3rd:       5:00p.m. to midnight
Saturday, Sept. 4th:   12:00p.m. to midnight
Sunday, Sept. 5th:     12:00p.m. to midnight
    Monday, Sept. 6th:    12:00p.m. to 9:00p.m

This is a fun family event. Great entertainment for kids and adults. Polka music, "fair" and great ethnic food. Really interesting vendors, you won't be disappointed at this event. Great bargain for the price! And, Beer!

The Cleveland Oktoberfest is awesome, particularly for kids. They have hay rides, the Frisch marionette show, gingerbread house building workshops and a display of amazing gingerbread houses, sand boxes next to the exhibit by world champion sand sculptor Carl Jara (a Cleveland native!), a kids sidewalk chalk art area, toy trains, face painting, arts, crafts, a climbing wall, bubble pool, mascots like Oktoberfest Otto, rides, inflatables, and kid-friendly food. It being an Oktoberfest, I was leery about it, but it ended up being one of the better events we've been to for the munchkins.
