27. Hinckley Reservation

One of my ALL time favorite places to go in the area -  Hinckley Reservation and Whipps Ledges.
(Full disclosure I may have had my first date with my husband here...oh so long ago!)

Wonderful year round, but perfect in the summer this park offers swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, baseball fields, picnicking, a walking trail and a general good time for all. Take the kids for an after dinner stroll around the lake.  Or spend a weekend afternoon boating around the lake or taking a swim, searching for tadpoles in the river and pack a hearty picnic!

During the summer months there is a refreshment area right next to the spillway swimming area.  And across the street there is Buzzards Cove, a mini-golf and driving range that has ice cream!
