173. Train Day

ALL ABOARD!
Saturday, June 18
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
It’s not easy to explain, but model trains capture many of the hearts and minds of kids and adults alike.  Train-lovers can enjoy viewing model train exhibits (G-scale, HO-scale, N-scale, S-scale, Legos, and more), exhibits with local train organizations, guided trestle hikes, listening in to train traffic conversations, crafts, movies about trains shown all day, and more!
And, head over to the conductor as he welcomes everyone to take a stroll down the Hobo Trail to discover what life was like for “America’s traveling workers.”  Hobos were very good about helping one another through codes.  Visitors can walk the Hobo Trail to view over 30 hobo signs to see some samples of how the hobos would communicate to each other by using secret messages.

Plus, A KID’S TRAIN RIDE, ($1/person), EarthWords Nature Shop selling unique train items, and refreshments for sale.  Free Admission!
